Prayer is a reverent petition made to God; a fervent request. Prayer is an act of discipline. The more you pray, the more you will get to know Jesus Christ and hear His voice to know His will for your life. Prayer is God’s own word in your mouth. Prayer is the engine of the church, and his word is the fuel that keeps the fire burning in our hearts. God hears us when we pray, and He instructs us to do so. May your prayer life draw you closer to God.
And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we ask anything according to His will He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of Him. (1 John 5: 14-15)
